Owls outlasted by Monarchs on the road
Clinton Twp., MI- It was a tough night for the Oakland Community College volleyball team as they dropped another game on the road to conference opponent Macomb, three sets to one. The Owls record drops to 6-12 on the year, as well as 3-4 in conference, while Macomb improves to 11-10 and 3-4 in conference.
The Owls dropped the first two sets 25-17 and 25-20, but were able to rebound in highly contested third set, taking it 26-24. Unfortunately the Owls would go onto fall in the fourth and final set 25-15.
The Owls were led offensively from sophomore outside hitter Emily Snay, who collected 15 kills on the night, while also contributing with 4 blocks and 11 digs. Freshman libero Mattea Ball led the way on defense with 21 digs and sophomore setter Brooklyn Poe managed 23 assists and 14 digs on the night.
The Owls will finally be back at home next Monday, October 13th after being away from the home court for 3 weeks. They'll welcome in the first place St. Clair Skippers with the game set for 7pm.
