Winter Haven, FL- After a week-long trip down in the sunshine state, the Oakland Community College softball team has returned home after participating in THE Spring Games in Florida to kick off the 2026 season.
In 12 total games against junior college and NCAA competition, the Owls managed to go 6-6 in Florida.
Offensively, the Owls were led by sophomore first basemen Katelynn Perry during the trip. Perry played in all 12 games for the Owls, accumulating 25 total hits for a batting average of .625 with an OBP of .643 and an OPS of 1.518. Perry also collected 1 homerun and 7 RBI's for the team. Sophomore middle infielder Kamryn Kasak also had a productive week for the Owls as she ended her spring trip hitting .424 with an OBP of .525 and an OPS of .980.
The Owls return to the diamond will be this Friday when they have their home opener against Montcalm Community College at 3pm.
