Men's Basketball falls in Opening Round of Great Lakes District Tournament
Auburn Hills, MI- The Oakland Community College men's basketball team gave it all they had last night but it just wasn't enough as their season came to a close in the opening round of the NJCAA Great Lakes District Tournament, with a 72-70 loss to Schoolcraft College.
The Owls end their year with a record of 22-7, while going 10-4 in conference.
For the Owls, sophomore forward Jordan Wright led the way as he has all year long with 21 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 blocks on the night. Sophomore guard Nick Speiser ended his night with 12 points and 7 rebounds, while sophomore guard Aaron Chapman added 12 points with 4 rebounds and 3 assists.
The Owls will graduate 4 sophomores this year and would like to thank them for their time and effort put forth towards the OCC men's basketball program, and wishes them the best of luck on all of their future endeavors!
