Wright Posts Career High 41 Points on Sophomore Day
Auburn Hills, MI- The Oakland Community College men's basketball team kept the train rolling right along on Saturday's Sophomore Day game against Mott Community College, as they handled the Bears easily with a final score of 113-73.
With the win, the Owls currently sit at 21-6(9-4) on the year, while the Bears fall to 10-17(3-10).
It was a big day for several Owl's as three players all had career high's in scoring on the afternoon. Sophomore forward Jordan Wright had a game high and new career high in scoring as he erupted for 41 points while only missing two shots the entire afternoon. Wright also collected 9 rebounds and 3 blocks on the day for the Owls.
Freshman Forward Andrew Turnquist had a new career high in scoring as well as he knocked down 20 points for the Owls and collected a double-double with 13 rebounds. Freshman guard Andrew Ashwood set a new high for himself also with 13 points while adding 5 rebounds and 3 assists to his resume.
The men will end their regular season tomorrow against Wayne County on the road with a 7:30pm tip-off.
