Owls Downed by Hawks after Second Half Comeback
Dearborn, MI- The Oakland Community College men's basketball team hit the road last night to face off against conference opponent Henry Ford. The Owls controlled the first half, going into halftime with a 41-36 lead, but couldn't hang on in the second half as the Hawks dropped 50 second half points to take the weeknight tilt, 86-75.
As it stands, the Owls now sit at 19-5(7-3) for the season, while the Hawks improve to 14-7(7-3).
Sophomore forward Jordan Wright led the day for the Owls in this one, as he tallied another 30-point performance with a game high 33 point, 6 rebounds, and 2 blocks on the night. Freshman guard Braeden Holder managed to collect 14 points in the contest, while Nick Speiser had 10 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists.
The Owls will be back to business on Saturday when the visit Schoolcraft College. Tip-off is at 3pm.
