Men's basketball hits the Century mark as they handle the Timberwolves on the road
Petoskey, MI- The Oakland Community College men's basketball team continues to stay hot as they went onto win their fourth straight game to start the season last night against the North Central Michigan Timberwolves.
The men never trailed in this one as they started strong and finished strong, going into halftime up 47-30 and continuing their quality play in the second half, leading to the 100-75 win. The Owls would improve their record to 4-0 on the year as the Timberwolves fell to 0-5.
The Owls leading scorer, sophomore forward Jordan Wright, did all of his work in the first half as his 21 points came in the first 20 minutes of play. Wright also tallied 3 rebounds and 3 steals on the night.
Sophomore guard Aaron Chapman ended his night with 20 points of his own, while also contributing with 4 assists and 5 steals in the winning effort. Sophomore forward Vince Ferguson had a career high in scoring as he added 16 points off the bench along with 2 steals.
The men have a quick turnaround as they'll be back in action tonight when they'll take on Bay College at 7pm.
