Owls currently sit in 4th place in MCCAA East at halfway point
Auburn Hills, MI- We're at the halfway point for the 2025 MCCAA volleyball season as the Owls continue to make strides and a push for the postseason as we come down the home stretch.
The Owls have held their own to this point in the season thus far. They have already eclipsed last year's win total of three wins, and have topped their conference win total as well. Sitting at 6-11 overall and 3-3 in conference, the Owls are currently in 4th place in the MCCAA East standings, which puts them right now in position for a play in game to the NJCAA Region XII District Tournament in November. With 6 conference game remaining though, a lot can change.
Looking at the stat sheet, in seventeen matches the Owls are averaging 7.28 kills/set, 6.57 assists/set, and 10.34 digs/set. Leading the way for the Owls on the court this year has been sophomore outside hitter Emily Snay. In 12 matches, Snay leads the team with 155 points and 126 kills, and is averaging 3.6 kills/set which is good for 4th in the MCCAA, along with 4.4 points/set which puts her in the top three in the MCCAA as well.
Your other team leaders include sophomore outside hitter Audrey Cole who leads the team with a .237 hitting percentage and 27 total blocks, freshman libero Mattea Ball with 156 digs, and sophomore setter Brooklyn Poe with 248 assists.
The Owls will continue their quest for the postseason tonight as they look to take the season series against Macomb at 7pm at Chippewa Valley High School.
