Lansing, MI- The Oakland Community College women's basketball team officially kicked off their 2025-26 season on Saturday as they traveled out to Lansing, Michigan to take on Lansing Community College. In a game that was tough sledding for the Owls, they dropped their first contest of the year to the Stars, with a final score of 129-59.
The Owls got a lift from two new comers on the team, one of which was freshman guard Leah Williams who led the team with 19 points on the afternoon, along with 8 rebounds. Freshman forward Tracy Ludescher contributed with 17 points of her own as well.
The ladies will shake this one off as they have 3 games on the slate for this week to prepare for, including their next matchup with Kalamazoo Valley on Thursday at 5:30pm.
