Lino earns All-MCCAA honors at Region Championship; Women set four PR's
Port Huron, MI- The NJCAA Region XII Cross Country Championship was held this past Friday at Goodells County Park as both the men and women's cross country teams were full participants at the familiar track, with the men having some of their best performances of the season.
The Owls top runner on the year, Freshman Napoleon Lino, finished with a new PR of 26:39.1 in the 8k for the men, earning him a 16th place finish on the afternoon. For finishing in the top 20 in a race that consisted of 126 racers, Lino earned All-MCCAA team honors on the season.
The men had four other runners set PR's during the race, including Jihad El Farouj who achieved his first sub-30-minute 8k on the season, with a time of 28:59.2, which was good for 48th place.

The women had a great day on the track as well, as all four runners set PR's for their final race on the season. Freshman Adrian Fear led the way for the women as she finished in 77th place with a time of 24:17.3 in the 5k.

The NJCAA National Championship race will take place on Friday, November 8th in Fort Dodge, Iowa, where the men will be competing one last time on the year.
